Dewey dB
For the last decade, Dewey dB has been at the forefront of new music and technology. Inspired initially by the early hip hop/turntablism scene, Dewey found IDM while pursuing his electrical engineering degree and continues to be inspired by bass-heavy, glitchy sounds. He is one of the original founders of Toronto’s Dubslingers crew, a prolific force in Canadian dubstep for the last 4 years. Besides running popular sites Glitch Hop Forum and Dubstep.ca , Dewey’s release with Muti Music, “H.A.A.R.P.” peaked at #3 on the Beatport Electronic charts, remaining in the top 10 for several weeks.
Emotional Spy
Emotional Spy manipulates electronics to soundtrack our cracked souls. Live, Emotional Spy leaves the soundscapes home to present each time on stage more smashing live sets. Hidden sounds, sharp beats and heavy basslines are then his way to enter into your brain and body. He has shared line ups with BBC Radio 1 experimental mistress Mary Anne Hobbs, Planet Mu’s Milanese or other Funckarma (Warp) among many others.
