Eskmo visits Prague! @ Lucerna, June 14th 2011

    2011 - 05.31

Eskmo and Amon Tobin = Eskamon, Damn Fine Objects including Ill. Gates Tutorial

    2010 - 04.10

Looks like Eskmo’s remix of Amon Tobin’s “Sister, you have got to listen“  has led to some more fruitful collaborations. The two have combined forces as Eskamon and released their first single titled “Fine Objects”, to be released on Eskmo’s “Ancestor.”

If that wasn’t cool enough, the notorious Illiam a.k.a Ill.Gates  created a 10 minute tutorial video that accompanies a free Ableton Live sample pack  using material from the original “Fine Objects” track.  Head over the Eskamon for the goodies and see the Ill. Gates Tutorial below. What a great way to learn how to start messing around with music!

Exclusive Interview with Eskmo on Bwomp Beats!

    2010 - 02.18

Eskmo and EPROM are two of my all time favorite producers. And they’re anticipated to release some new material on Warp Records in the new future. Both absolutely deserve to be up there with the greats. Head over to Bwomp Beats for an exclusive interview with Eskmo, the very down to earth music maker. And don’t to forget to check out Eskmo’s free Amon Tobin remix.

Update from Warp: “San Francisco producers EPROM and Eskmo are to release their double A-side 12″ on Warp next week (22nd/23rd February) featuring their respective tracks ‘Hendt’ and ‘Lands and Bones featuring Swan’.”

Brendan Angelides is a San Francisco based electronic music producer who records and performs live as Eskmo. In the past five years he’s released over a dozen singles and EPs while touring throughout North America and Europe. Angelides also runs the Ancestor label, which issued his “Hypercolor” and “Angus Dei” singles in 2009 to positive reviews from numerous magazines, blogs and tastemakers.

In the past two years his multi-genre compositions have been featured on influential labels like Warp Records and Planet Mu. He’s also remixed works by diverse artists such as Bibio, Spor, STS9, and Bar9, to name a few. While Angelides’ tracks encompass a wide range of electronic styles, he avoids classifications. Bleep.com described his tracks as “Masterfully produced… sophisticated, post-Dilla hip-hop funk”. His latest single “Let Them Sing” on Planet Mu was met with equal praise and described by sites like Boomkat as “[Putting] Eskmo on his own electronic plateau.”
